GALLERY
Project Overview
Developed in partnership with MIXD Gallery, the art collection at The Visionaries was thoughtfully curated to reflect the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, and economic growth that defines Northwest Arkansas.
Featuring works by a diverse range of artistic voices connected to Arkansas, the collection spans painting, fiber, ceramics, installation, and mixed media. Some pieces draw directly from the landscape and culture of the Ozarks, while others explore themes of perception, possibility, perseverance, and transformation. Together, they create a visual narrative about the ideas, risks, and resilience required to build something meaningful.
At the heart of the collection are four monumental botanical paintings by Arkansas artist Scott Carle. Titled In Full, the series honors the drive, vision, fire, and abundance that characterize those who create lasting impact.
Also featured is a striking typographic portrait of J.B. Hunt by acclaimed American pop artist Paul Van Scott. Constructed from a mosaic of Hunt's own words, the work reveals his likeness through the very principles that guided his life and career—discipline, optimism, calculated risk, and an unwavering belief in people. As viewers move closer, individual quotations emerge; from a distance, they converge into the portrait of one of Arkansas's most influential business leaders.
The collection underscores a central belief: vision is not simply the ability to see what is—it is the courage to imagine what could be.
THE VISIONARIES
These works are joined by a broader collection of commissioned and collected artworks throughout the building. Highlights include Emily Joyce's fiber installation inspired by the Braille spelling of "Visionaries," Landon Perkins' interactive meditation on time and possibility, Camilla Crittenden's ceramic tile installation informed by the geology of the Ozarks, Abigail Henthorne's textile interpretation of Arkansas, and a landscape by Wes Benson that grounds the collection in Rogers itself. Together, these works offer just a glimpse into the many artistic voices represented throughout The Visionaries.
The collection underscores a central belief: vision is not simply the ability to see what is—it is the courage to imagine what could be.
MIXD Gallery is honored to partner with The Visionaries in bringing this collection to life.
