Renata Cassiano Alvarez
Renata Cassiano Alvarez is a Mexican-Italian artist born in Mexico City and currently the Visiting Assistant Professor in ceramics at the University of Arkansas School of Art. Cassiano Alvarez works predominantly in the medium of clay, in a search for developing an intimate collaborative relationship with material and material language.

Chloe Jones
Chloe Jones uses photography and collage to understand the relationship between the body, the natural world, and the animal world. She has worked in the fashion industry for 5 years, where she has honed an understanding of the body, and how it is communicated through contemporary imagery.

The Artists
MIXD’s stable of artists are in the realm of the vast emerging talent in the Ozark Region.
Merging Spaces — the introductory exhibition for MIXD Gallery — compiles a selection of 30 artists, who are the result of a year-long process of studio visits and conversations with curator Allison Hobbs. All artworks were thoughtfully placed together to drive this inaugural exhibition. The gallery is excited to share the art, process, color and stories of these talented artists.
Maryalice Carroll
Maryalice Carroll is from a small beach town in New Jersey. She received her BFA in Craft and Material Studies from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and is currently an MFA Candidate at the University of Arkansas.
