Meet the Artist

Anthony Davis

My work explores life’s relationship between chaos and stillness. The constant emotional tug of war each one of us experiences daily is my primary influence. I enjoy using a variety of materials to construct my work. Sometimes the most random thing can completely change the flow of paint allowing me to explore and express the rawest of emotions.

Non-Objective and abstract is by far my favorite type of visual art to create. My work falls between the two. There is something special about looking at an abstract piece with a group of people and discussing all the different viewpoints. How the piece seems to take on its own life and is ever changing. Although consistent, I find each piece is alive and has an unequivocal uniqueness.

Biography

Anthony Davis is a visual artist located in Fayetteville. He approaches his work first as a technical builder, constructing his canvas frames by hand. His work layers geometric elements to explore life’s relationship between chaos and stillness through primarily abstract compositions. Davis’ pieces have been shown in many locations throughout the Northwest Arkansas region.
