Wes Benson

Wesley’s artwork hangs on walls and in private collections across the U.S. Wes stubbornly paints whatever he wants to paint. His artistic philosophy is guided exclusively by the daily visual input of his own life. His work is intended to be semi-autobiographical, euphoric, luminous, and optimistic.

Biography

Wes Benson is a painter located in Kansas City. He studied art history during his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas and later received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. His work is informed by his own daily visual input and is semi-autobiographical. He works primarily in oil painting and his work can be characterized by his vivid and luminous use of color.
